Citizens Bank has awarded Josh Carlson its annual TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship for $1,000.

Carlson will use the scholarship to supplement the cost of his tuition at Tufts University School of Medicine.

The TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship Program reward students whose volunteer efforts have made a lasting impact in their communities. The winners are chosen based on the responsibility and leadership skills they have demonstrated through their community service.

In addition to the scholarship given to Carlson, one winner will receive a grand prize scholarship of $5,000, four winners will each receive $2,500 and 34 other winners will each receive $1,000 as part of the TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship Program.
