Citizens Bank has started its annual Gear for Grades program, which provides school supplies to local students. This year’s program is in partnership with Cradles to Crayons, a Boston-based nonprofit that supports low-income youth.

From July 22 until Aug. 9, anyone can donate new pencils, folders, notebooks, rulers and other supplies to all Citizens Bank branches in Massachusetts.

The Citizens Bank Foundation is donating 6,600 backpacks filled with child-safe scissors, pencils, spiral notebooks, index cards and other supplies to the program.
