Citizens Bank and the Citizens Bank Foundation have partnered with 11 local nonprofits to give more than 1 million meals to people in need throughout Massachusetts this year. RBS Citizens Financial Group is also supporting the fight against hunger, vowing to provide 4.5 million meals to local food organizations across the bank’s footprint by year end.
"When nonprofits, corporations and consumers work together, we can make a positive impact for the millions of people across America, and thousands here in Massachusetts who struggle with hunger and food insecurity," Jerry Sargent, president of Citizens Bank and RBS Citizens, Massachusetts, said in a statement.
Utilizing $525,000 in grants from the Citizens Bank Foundation, the bank’s partners, which include The Greater Boston Food Bank, Women’s Lunch Place and Project Bread, are providing emergency food and nutritious meals to children and families throughout Massachusetts.
