Citizens Bank has hired Mark Valentino as head of business development and new products for the global markets division of Citizens Commercial Banking. 

"Mark has great experience in Global Markets products and solutions and is well-respected in the industry," Tony Bedikian, head of global markets for Citizens Commercial Banking, said in a statement. "We’re excited to have him join Citizens and I’m confident he’ll help us expand our business."

Valentino joins Citizens in Boston from MUFG Union Bank, where he most recently worked in the global markets division in Los Angeles and Chicago and held senior roles in structured products, foreign exchange and interest rate products. Prior to MUFG Union Bank, Valentino worked for Guggenheim Partners Asset Management in Santa Monica, Calif., where he traded equities and assisted in portfolio management.
