Thomas J. Tuniewicz, vice president of compliance and security officer at Clinton Savings Bank, has been named chairperson of the advisory council for the Center for Financial Training’s (CFT) Bankers Forum.
As chairman, Tuniewicz will oversee a volunteer group of finance executives who gather monthly to deliberate issues affecting the financial services industry, to help the forum’s membership stay informed. The advisory council sets the agenda for these monthly meetings.
"With the assistance of knowledgeable speakers and the insight of our peers, forum members can better anticipate industry changes and help their banks respond most effectively," said Tuniewicz. "Personally, I am very thankful to have so many top-notch executives involved in the forum. We are all better professionals because of our mutual commitment to the group."
Tuniewicz, who has been with Clinton Savings Bank since 2010, will lead the CFT Bankers Forum of 18 senior executives from banks across Massachusetts and Connecticut for a one-year term, from mid 2012 to mid 2013. He was previously vice chairperson for the 2011-2012 term and has been a member of the forum for five years.
"Everyone at the bank is extremely proud of Tom’s new role with the CFT," said Michael Tenaglia, senior vice president, chief information officer. "We always try to attract the most talented at CSB, and the leadership Tom exhibits within such an influential industry association is a great example of his professional expertise."
