The Clinton Savings Charitable Foundation Inc. has donated $6,000 in scholarships to area schools.

Six schools received the $1,000 grants, including Montachusett Regional, Nashoba Regional, Tahanto Regional, Wachusett Regional, Clinton High School and West Boylston High School.

"A higher education is one of the most valuable tools than can be provided to today’s young students; but like most things of value, it comes with a cost," said Robert J. Paulhus Jr., president & CEO of Clinton Savings Bank. "It’s up to us as a community to come together, support our school systems, and ensure that all students have the opportunity to build a foundation for life-long learning."

The Clinton Savings Charitable Foundation was established in January 2001 to mark Clinton Savings Bank’s 150th anniversary year. The foundation provides financial support to non-profit organizations for projects that will benefit the Greater Clinton area. Eligible organizations must be located in or serve one of the following towns: Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Harvard, Lancaster, Sterling or West Boylston.
