Clinton Savings Bank has started construction on a new branch in Shrewsbury, its seventh full-service branch.

The new location will be at Edgemere Crossing at 230 Turnpike Rd. Clinton Savings Bank said in a statement that the bank has worked with Shrewsbury residents and businesses for over 20 years.

“On behalf of our employees and members of the board of directors, we’re excited to be constructing our seventh branch,” Robert J. Paulhus Jr., president and CEO of Clinton Savings Bank, said in the statement. “We look forward to expanding our relationships with the residents and businesses of Shrewsbury and becoming an integral part of the neighborhood with a location here.”

The new branch will have an open design and functionality that Clinton Savings Bank said it plans to use in the future when building out branches. The $654 million-asset bank will provide consumer and commercial products and services at the branch to support the commercial and small business enterprises, as well as families, the statement said.

“We’re excited to serve the people and many business owners seeking a community bank that can help find the right banking solutions to meet their unique needs,” Paulhus said. “In addition to providing bank products and state-of-the-art technology comparable to any big bank, our core strengths remain in our personal attention, competitive pricing, local decision-making and exceptional service.”

Clinton Savings Bank currently has full-service branches in Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Sterling and West Boylston.
