S. Kuhlman, a specialty clothing retailer, has leased 2,130 square feet on Boston’s Newbury Street.

The European-inspired shirt store is set to open in mid-September at 160 Newbury St., part of The Newbury Line.

S. Kuhlman will join more than 50 other high-end retailers along The Newbury Line.

This will be S. Kuhlman’s first store in New England and its first venture outside New York City.

"We continue to seek tenants who prefer a limited number of storefronts in signature retail areas," said Newbury Line Principal Peter Merrigan.

 The Newbury Line is a joint venture of Taurus Investment Holdings and UrbanMeritage LLC, which consists of 22 buildings on and around Newbury Street.

Dartmouth Co. represented both sides.
