The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod officially opened the doors to its new Loan and Business Development Center in Falmouth today.
The opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony, a breakfast event for local business leaders and an open house.
Bank President Joel Crowell was joined by Falmouth Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jay Zavala, Falmouth Town Manager Julian Suso and local business and community leaders for the ceremonial ribbon cutting. He also announced a donation of $6,000 from the bank to the Falmouth Service Center to fund its annual Christmas meal program.
"It’s exciting to be part of the Falmouth community and to continue expanding our foot print across the Cape," said Joel Crowell, President of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. "We look forward to doing business in Falmouth and to being an active member of this special town."
This morning’s breakfast was followed by a day-long open house for residents. In celebration of the grand opening, the bank gave out complimentary memberships valued at forty dollars each to Falmouth’s historic Highfield Hall. They were presented to the first one hundred and fifty guests.
The new Loan and Business Development Center becomes the seventh location for the ninety-year-old, independent community bank. The center offers a 24-hour full service ATM, residential and commercial lending services, and a wide range of business services. It is located at 649 Main Street.
The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is an independent, local, mutual community bank with over $600 million in assets.
