Jose M. Collazo has been promoted to executive vice president of both NorthEast Community Bancorp Inc. and its subordinate bank, NorthEast Community Bank.

Northeast Community Bancorp, based in White Plains, N.Y., operates two bank branches and a loan production office in Plymouth and Danvers.

Collazo joined the bank in January 1986 and has served as senior vice president and chief information officer since 2002. In his new role, Collazo will assume responsibility for the mortgage servicing department and the branch administration department of the bank, and will also retain his current responsibilities. Additionally, Collazo will become a member of the bank’s asset liability, loan and the executive committees, the company said.

"Jose is an exceptional leader and innovator who has been a great asset to the bank," NorthEast Community Bancorp President and CEO Kenneth A. Martinek said in a statement. "We are confident that Jose will continue to serve our organization well in all departments under his responsibility."
