Former JLL executive Matthew Sherry is joining Colliers Boston’s capital markets team as a managing director.

In the past decade at JLL, Sherry was involved with over $7 billion in transactions including the $320-million sale of 200 Smith in Waltham and the $235 million sale of Riverside Center in Newton.

Sherry worked with Colliers Managing Director Frank Petz and Senior Advisor John Nasca in his role at JLL before their moves to Colliers in recent years. He joins recent Colliers hires from the local real estate industry including Jeanne Pinado, John Butterworth, Kendin Carr, and Kevin Hanna.

“It’s clear that there is deep investment – both locally and nationally – committed to taking things to the next level. I look forward to re-joining Frank and returning to the strong dynamic we always had working together in years past,” Sherry said in a statement.
