Cory Hopkins has been named managing editor of Banker & Tradesman and its sister publication, The Commercial Record. Since February 2008, Hopkins worked as web editor of both papers. He will succeed former managing editor Saul Williams.

“Cory has done a fantastic job as our web editor, keeping our products on the cutting edge of news,” said Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Vincent Michael Valvo. “He’s also been a prime driver of many of our editorials, a copy-editor for our print product, and a project manager for several of our editorial initiatives.”

Aglaia Pikounis will be taking on the role of web editor, in addition to her position as public relations representative. She has been with The Warren Group since 2001.

“Over the course of her long tenure at TWG, we have benefited tremendously from Aglaia’s intelligence, her quick thinking, her understanding of our markets and her dedication to quality,” Valvo said.

Sarah Cunningham has been named events manager at The Warren Group, the papers’ parent company. She will be responsible for all sponsorship and exhibit sales for the company’s rapidly expanding tradeshow business. A former advertising sales rep, Cunningham has worked at The Warren Group for more than three years. In her new role, she will also work with advertising sales representatives to help create specialized seminars for advertising clients.

“As a marketing major from Bentley (University), Sarah is getting the chance to put in place many of the skills she was taught in school, and which she has continued to grow and hone during her time at TWG,” Valvo added.
