Commerce Bank has hired two new commercial lending executives, David J. Lahive and Dianne H. Lopes, at its Brookline Avenue offices in Boston. Lahive will serve as senior vice president and director of corporate lending, and Lopes will be vice president, commercial real estate. 

"David and Dianne bring a wealth of experDavid Lahiveience to our Boston commercial lending team, which will help us grow our already considerable portfolio in the city," said Commerce Bank President and CEO Brian W. Thompson.  "We have been actively lending in Boston for some time, and the addition of David and Dianne, coupled with our recent acquisition of Mercantile Bank and its three Boston offices, positions us to be even more competitive in the market."

Lahive has more than 25 years of credit, lending and management experience within the commercial banking industry, including roles as senior vice president and region manager, commercial real estate finance, at People’s United Bank, and as senior vice president and chief credit officer at Danversbank.  In his new position, Lahive will oversee all of Commerce Bank’s commercial lending in Boston.

 Lopes has 30 years of banking experience, most recently as vice president and commercial real estate portfolio manager at People’s United Bank. She previously served as first vice president, loan administration and loan servicing, at Danversbank.   Dianne Lopes
