Worcester-based Commerce Bank has added new staff, and promoted one from within its ranks.
Tulio Gasperini has joined the bank as vice president and director of corporate marketing and communications, and John T. Kelley has joined the bank as vice president in the commercial lending division. In addition, Samir Rauf has been promoted to vice president and credit officer.
Gasperini brings more than 22 years of corporate financial services marketing and communications experience to his new position. He previously was vice president and director of communications for human resources at Citizens Financial Group, where he was responsible for providing strategic direction and the overall development of communications related to human resource programs and initiatives, including executive communications.
Prior to joining Commerce, Kelley held a similar position at TD Banknorth. He has served on the board of the Frederick A. Rubin Fund of MetroWest and is a coach for the St. John’s High School ice hockey program in Shrewsbury.
Rauf joined Commerce Bank in 2006 as assistant vice president. His previous experience includes serving in a credit analysis capacity at a Massachusetts community bank, and in various commercial lending and managerial positions with a number of large foreign and American banks.
