Danvers-based Mortgage Network Inc. has appointed Jim Comosa director of corporate development.

"Jim will work closely with me, Bob McInnes and the rest of the Executive team on improving our corporate efficiencies and ability to adapt and grow with the changing lending climate," said Al Paré, co-founder of Mortgage Network, in a statement.

Comosa has 27 years of experience building and managing lending platforms including stints at Countrywide Home Loans and North American Mortgage Co. Most recently, Comosa was the Eastern Division Sales Leader for MetLife Home Loans before their recent exit from mortgage banking.

"To be working with this team and with a company I have long admired at such a pivotal time in the business excites me," said Comosa in a statement. "I believe this time in our business strongly favors the independent mortgage banker who can deliver a better product at a better price with a much higher level of service than the larger national company or small broker."
