Concord Riverwalk GroundbreakingA groundbreaking ceremony was held recently to celebrate new construction for Concord Riverwalk, a community of 13 detached condominiums in Concord.

Concord Riverwalk was developed and planned by NOW Communities and Concord-based Genesis Planners, and was designed by Providence, R.I.-based Donald Powers Architects Inc., according to a statement. It is situated on 3.7 acres of land adjacent to the Assabet River. The community is located within walking distance to a commuter rail stop, shops, galleries and restaurants in West Concord Center.

Concord’s Director of Planning Marcia Rasmussen; Dan Gainsboro and Steve Weikal of NOW Communities LLC; and representatives from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage attended the ceremony, according to a statement.

The $7.5 million project is expected to be completed in July, and features a mix of two- and three-bedroom condominiums ranging in size from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet. It will include 10 newly constructed homes and three renovated units in two existing structures.

The condominiums will feature storage space, full basements and one-car garages, according to a statement. Other features include first-floor master suites, studios and lofts. The two-bedroom condominiums are priced at $575,000 and the three-bedroom condominiums at $650,000.

"Thoughtfully planned to be healthy, durable and beautiful, these homes are efficient without sacrificing function or comfort," said Dan Gainsboro president of NOW Communities and Genesis Planners. "We are delighted to introduce this new lifestyle concept in Concord."
