Milford-based Consigli Construction Co. Inc. recently donated a 14-foot box truck which will be used as a shipping container for humanitarian supplies to Haiti.
The truck will also be used as a permanent addition to the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, according to a statement. The truck will be filled with donated lumber, building materials and tools, clothes and shoes.
Consigli also donated building tools, including a cement mixer and plate compactor, for another truck bound for Haiti in late November. The company also matched an employee fundraiser for Haitian relief efforts and sponsored six employee volunteers who traveled to Haiti in March to frame a new orphanage and a roof on a damaged school.
"We are happy to be able to continue to help the people of Haiti through the efforts of our committed employee volunteers and Consigli Construction’s support," said Brian Brogioli, Consigli Construction director of human resources.
