Braintree-based Peabody Properties Inc., a real estate management firm which oversees 10,000 housing units across New England, has appointed Guy Corricelli chief financial officer (CFO).
Corricelli was formerly the firm’s controller. In his new role, Corricelli will work in close partnership with PPI Principals to ensure the continued growth and expansion of the firm. Corricelli will assume fiduciary oversight of $750 million in managed assets, as well as responsibility for developing strategic business plans, producing and managing an extensive annual budget, maintaining current client relationships and mitigating financial risk.
According to Peabody Properties Principal and Chief Operating Officer, Melissa Fish-Crane, Corricelli’s knowledge of the firms’ financial structure and operations will serve him well as CFO.
"Given Guy’s extensive experience in finance and accounting, and his long tenure at Peabody Properties, he is well suited to help guide the firm’s financial future. We all congratulate Guy on this well-deserved promotion," said Fish-Crane in a statement.
Corricelli joined Peabody Properties in 1997. Prior to joining Peabody Properties, Corricelli began his career in real estate in 1982 as audit and development manager at a certified public accounting firm specializing in real estate and affordable housing management.
Presently, Corricelli serves as the treasurer of The Builder’s Association of Greater Boston and is a member of the board of directors for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. He received a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.
