Costa Named VP Of Business Banking At Commonwealth Cooperative Bank

Richard M. Costa has joined Commonwealth Cooperative Bank as its vice president, business banking.

Costa, of Abington, will focus on expanding the bank’s portfolio of commercial real estate, multifamily and construction loans.

He previously served as senior vice president of business banking at Mt. Washington Bank of South Boston since 1999. Costa has 27 years of mortgage and commercial lending experience in Boston-based community banks, according to a statement.

Commonwealth Cooperative Bank is headquartered in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood, and has branch locations in Jamaica Plain and at Government Center.
