Albert Pinho, a 25-year banking veteran, has been named senior lending officer at Somerville’s CPCU Credit Union.

Most recently, Pinho headed residential and consumer lending at community banks in the Boston area. He also held similar positions at American National Bank in Omaha, Neb.

At CPCU Credit Union, Pinho will be part of the senior management team and will be responsible for all lending functions, according to a statement.

"The lending department is fundamental to the credit union success. Therefore, I’m excited to have Albert join our senior management team to lead this critical department in providing outstanding loan products complemented by a higher level of member service," said Rui Domingos, chief executive officer at CPCU Credit Union. "His experience will help us meet the needs of our members while enhancing our existing products and services."
