Derek Russell has been promoted to operations manager at Woburn-based Cummings Properties. Russell is a nine-year veteran of the suburban commercial real estate firm.

In his new role, Russell will be responsible for managing all client activities in Cummings Properties’ Core Division, which represents more than 2 million square feet of prime commercial space, as well as nearly 575 client firms, all within Woburn. His primary focus will be client retention and business development, but he will also have managerial responsibilities for the five leasing/property managers on his team.

"Cummings Properties has been a fantastic place to grow and learn," Russell said in a statement. "I’m excited for this new role that will allow me to further develop my management skills."
