Travis D’Amato has joined Boston-based Recap Real Estate Advisors as senior vice president, where he will be responsible for building Recap’s growing transaction advisory practice.
Prior to joining Recap, D’Amato was vice president of investment sales at CB Richard Ellis. While his primary responsibilities during his four-year tenure were to generate sales of multi housing assets in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, D’Amato leveraged his national relationships to build new business and execute successful transactions, according to a statement.
"Travis will play a key role in building our transaction advisory business, and we are confident he will help us deliver a new level of service to our clients," said Christopher Hesen, Recap’s president and chief operating officer.
D’Amato brings eight years of investment sales and property management experience to Recap. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, D’Amato spent two years at Apartment Realty Advisors. Between the two brokerage shops, D’Amato has executed more than $1.2 billion in multi-housing sales and financings. Prior to ARA, D’Amato gained property management experience with Winn Residential.
"At Recap, we’ve always taken pride in working with clients to execute cutting-edge transactions, and in today’s unsettled and complicated environment what worked yesterday is not always what will work tomorrow," said David Smith, Recap’s founder and chairman. "Adding Travis, a proven, successful broker with incredibly strong relationships in multifamily housing, will help us envision, secure, and consummate today’s innovations for tomorrow’s successes."
"Recap’s goals of providing clients with strategic guidance are in line with my drive to provide the best service and value to current and prospective clients," said D’Amato. "The decision to join Recap was an easy one, and I look forward to growing the company’s transaction advisory practice."
