The Commercial Brokers Association recently recognized the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s 154,000-square-foot lease in Boston’s Longwood Center as its 2012 "Life Sciences Deal of the Year" at its achievement awards dinner.

"This was a significant transaction, involving a world renowned organization and a major new life sciences project for the city of Boston," Robert Richards, president of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners, which brokered the transaction on behalf of Dana-Farber, said in a statement.  "We are pleased to have worked on the transaction, which involved cooperation among Dana-Farber, the City of Boston and the developers.  It’s great to see the lease get recognized by the CBA." 

Longwood Center is a proposed 11-story building, located on a 1.02-acre site at 360 Longwood Ave. The project plans include an approximately 414,000 rentable square foot, LEED Silver facility with highly flexible, modern laboratory and office settings, as well as a variety of state-of-the-art environments for translation and open innovation.  The project is scheduled for completion near the end of 2014.
