The Danversbank Charitable Foundation Inc. has granted $60,000 to the Community YMCA of Danvers, according to Kevin Noyes, first vice president at Danversbank and director of the foundation.
The bank’s donation will be given to the YMCA in four equal installments over four years; the first $15,000 was granted in 2008 and the final installment will be given in 2011.
"Our main reason for wanting to improve the cardio center was to continue to challenge our members," explained YMCA Executive Director and CEO Lenny Mercier. "Now, we can offer new and innovative ways to stay fit – making exercising exciting again for veteran members."
Danversbank is the principal subsidiary of Danvers Bancorp.
