Danversbank is holding a series of sessions to help strengthen and enhance the success of nonprofit organizations.

The bank’s nonprofit consortium sessions are open to nonprofit leadership and volunteer board members and will address topics as they relate to the nonprofit world, such as financial development, brand identity and marketing, information security and ethics, according to a statement.

A consortium meeting was held this morning at Danversport Yacht Club’s Lighthouse Point Room, with networking at 8:30 a.m. and the formal program running from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Nancy Simpson-Banker, a 30-year nonprofit development and public relations veteran, will discuss how to attract, recruit and retain good board members and how to engage them as fundraising partners.

"Danversbank has long been recognized as a leader in ‘giving back’ to its community. One of the bank’s core values is to "be an asset to the community" – something we take very seriously. We can utilize the talented resources of our bank family to help make the non-profit organizations in our community stronger and more successful in meeting their mission and goals," said Danversbank President & CEO Kevin Bottomley. "By coming alongside the dozens of non-profits that now utilize Danversbank, we can ensure their continued strength by sharing information, programs and resources that will benefit their constituencies and the community as a whole."

The last consortium session of 2010 will take place on Dec. 14 at Danversport Yacht Club’s Pilot House Room from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will feature a panel of local CPAs who will address current issues and concerns nonprofits face today.
