Marlborough-based Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) has recently donated $50,000 to area food banks and pantries for its second consecutive year.
The total donation was spread across 16 entities in the communities DCU serves, including the Burlington Food Pantry, the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Franklin Food Pantry and Catholic Charities Food Bank in Leominster.
"These organizations have done outstanding work in identifying local hunger problems, developing the best practices in food distribution and nutrition services, and communicating about the need that exists," John LaHair, DCU’s public relations manager, said in a statement. "We proudly support them in all their efforts to create a hunger-free community."
