The Bridge Center, a therapeutic recreational facility where children with intellectual and development disabilities can develop essential life skills through play, received a $5,000 grant. The funds will be used to provide financial assistance to struggling families that are in need of this organization’s services, according to a statement.

The Medfield Council on Aging received $4,000 in funding. The grant will be used to increase the size of the cement patio to accommodate eight picnic tables in the backyard of the center so individuals challenged with ambulation can access any table.

HESSCO Elder Services, which received $5,000, will use the funds to provide various outreach services to elder non-English speaking populations with a focus on the Mandarin and Russian-speaking communities. Services include translation programs and social activities.
