Dedham Savings and Bank of Canton have teamed up to co-sponsor a two-session workshop for first-time homebuyers, in partnership with Quincy-based advocacy group Neighborhood Housing Services of the South Shore.

The two-part program will be held Spet. 12 and Sept. 17 at Bank of Canton’s corporate headquarters at 470 Turnpike St. in Canton. The workshop is open to residents of the commonwealth or those planning to reside in Massachusetts.

At the completion of the workshop, attendees will receive a certificate of completion, the ability to meet with a lender to discuss mortgage options, and a $300 credit toward closing costs at either Dedham Savings or Bank of Canton, according to a statement.

Workshop topics will include information about credit scoring, mortgage options, legal aspects of homebuying, home inspections, and other topics from real estate related professionals.
