A South Boston property steps from the planned 792,000-square-foot Washington Village development is slated for a potential industrial-to-multifamily conversion.

Managing Partner Joe Hassell of property owner Old C LLC proposes 30 compact living units in a 6-story building to replace the existing warehouse on the 5,200-square-foot lot at 212 Old Colony Ave.

Quincy architects Choo & Co. designed the project which would include units ranging from 350 square feet to two-bedrooms spanning approximately 750 square feet, according to a small project application filed with the Boston Planning and Development Agency.

The project is not proposing any off-street parking because of its proximity to the MBTA’s Andrew station, under the compact living pilot’s provisions for parking relief near public transit stops.

Old C LLC acquired the property in February 2020 for $2.4 million with a $1.9 million mortgage from Needham Bank, according to data compiled by The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
