Neighbors in a distressed Boston community are planning to gather this weekend in a "Block Rebellion" to fight foreclosure.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 13 in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. Gatherers are meeting at 5 p.m. on Bullard Street in the Four Corners section.

"A large and disenchanted community will organize to combat the Wall St. ‘crimes’ in our neighborhood," according to a statement from Mark A. Barrionuevo, volunteer at City Life/Vida Urbana.

The group will take a walking tour of foreclosed homes, give testimonials and see a video called "72 Hours." They will also demand banks stop all post-foreclosure evictions, accept residents’ offer to pay rent and sell foreclosed properties at real value to residents or nonprofits.
