Spring cleaning and banking go hand in hand with Eastern Bank’s free checking account program.  

New customers who open a free checking account with direct deposit receive a four-hour cleaning from housecleaning provider MaidPro.

The bank has also launched the "Dust, Scrub, Spray, Shine, Clean and Sweepstakes," where one lucky person will win a year’s worth of free housing cleaning from MaidPro.

"We believe that people are confused about their checking account options because of all the hoops you have to jump through to avoid fees at other banks," Joe Riley, executive vice president and director of consumer and business banking, said in a statement. "It’s our intent to raise awareness that free checking accounts are still available at Eastern Bank."

New customers who enroll in Eastern Free Checking with a direct deposit of $100 or more will receive a MaidPro voucher, valid for up to four hours of complimentary housecleaning.
