Eastern Bank has opened a new office in Hyannis, and to celebrate, the bank is offering a six-week banking promotion for the Cape Cod community.

Customers who open a checking account at the bank will receive a cash reward for debit card usage, the bank said in a statement. In addition, Eastern Bank will make a matching gift to a local charity. New business customers who open a checking account at the Eastern Bank Hyannis office get that account free for one year.

“We are very excited about celebrating the opening of our Hyannis office with a program that benefits our customers and charities in the Cape Cod community,” said Joe Riley, executive vice president of retail and business banking at Eastern Bank. “Expanding to Hyannis offers our new and existing customers another convenient location on the Cape with superior, personal service that they have come to expect from Eastern Bank.”

The Hyannis office, managed by Erica Papagno, is Eastern Bank’s second location in Barnstable and 83rd branch in the Bay State.
