Vermont police say a Massachusetts man is being charged with robbing a TD Bank in downtown Brattleboro in August.

Shayne Fleming-Pancione, 35, of Easthampton, is charged with one count of assault and robbery, and one count of grand larceny, both felonies.

Police say that on Aug. 13, Fleming-Pancione allegedly walked into the Main Street bank and demanded tellers give him $50 and $100 bills from two drawers. He never displayed a weapon.

Brattleboro police were contacted last month by an Easthampton detective who suspected Fleming-Pancione had robbed the Vermont bank.

The Brattleboro Reformer says Fleming-Pancione has a long history of drug arrests in Massachusetts. He’s currently in jail on other charges.

Officials are working to extradite Fleming-Pancione to Vermont to face bank robbery charges. (AP)
