East Boston Savings Bank recently announced five promotions at the annual meeting of its parent company, Meridian Financial Services.

Eric Heath was promoted to senior vice president, human resources; John Migliozzi, was named senior vice president, lending; Joseph Scurio was promoted to vice president, small business administration, lending; Philip Pace was named vice president, compliance; and Michele Pergola was promoted to vice president, loan review.

Heath, who has been with EBSB for 20 years, has served as vice president, human resources since 2001.
Migliozzi has led the commercial lending division of EBSB since 2002. He is now the senior lender responsible for all commercial, residential and consumer lending at the bank. He started at EBSB in 1998 as a commercial loan officer.

Scurio will be spearheading EBSB’s new SBA business line. He has been with the bank since 2006, working as assistant vice president commercial loan officer.

Pace has been with EBSB since 2001 and has worked as assistant vice president compliance officer since 2007. He is responsible for regulatory compliance writing and acting as a liaison to auditors and state and federal regulators. He also serves as the bank’s community reinvestment act officer.

Pergola came to EBSB in January as a loan review officer. She performs reviews of the bank’s portfolio to protect credit quality, portfolio management of nonperforming loans and bank-owned property.
