Quincy-based J. Calnan & Associates Inc., a construction management firm, has hired Tim Ericson as a senior preconstruction manager.

In this role, Ericson is responsible for coordination and management of for all preconstruction assignments including design, estimating, scheduling, value engineering and material procurement. Additionally, Ericson oversees the prequalification process of the subcontractor selection, preliminary scheduling, cost estimating, value engineering and procurement of long lead items.

Ericson has nearly 15 years of professional experience providing conceptual and detailed estimates, scheduling and managing all phases of the planning, design development and construction processes for clients across various sectors.  His most recent experience includes the preconstruction of a LEED Gold university lab building; a hotel to office conversion; and a university classroom and office fit-out.

Ericson holds a bachelors’ degree in civil engineering from Union College.
