Jonathan Evans has joined Boston’s Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) as an architectural designer, responsible for design development, programming, and project management and coordination.
Evans is currently working on a project for Reliant Medical Group (formerly Fallon Clinic), a repeat client for the firm, according to a statement.
"We are pleased to welcome Jonathan to our design staff," said Marc Margulies, principal at Margulies Perruzzi Architects. "Jonathan’s talents and strengths are a strong addition to our dedicated design team, and he understands the importance of creating design that supports our clients’ business objectives. His sustained commitment to social causes and activism also parallels the firm’s commitment to community service."
Prior to joining MPA, Evans was an intern architect and urban designer at Stull and Lee Inc., working on urban design, planning and architecture projects geared towards community building and developing the public realm.
Evans is a lecturer at Northeastern University, School of Architecture, where he currently directs a fifth-year undergraduate studio focusing on housing strategies and urban design. He will be directing a graduate studio in developing innovative affordable housing strategies. He is also a professional practice faculty at Boston Architectural College where he directs a design-build endeavor with students to develop a community cultural arts center in Boston’s Lower Roxbury neighborhood.
