Heather TaylorEYP Architecture & Engineering Project Executive Heather Taylor has been elected to the Boston Society of Architects (BSA)’ board of directors as the commissioner of communications and public relations.

"It is a great honor to be elected by one’s professional peers. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this wonderfully collegial community of design professionals," Taylor said. "The new BSA space offers amazing new opportunities for engagement and outreach. I am thrilled to be a part of the board."

An active member of the BSA since 1994, Taylor has shared her expertise at numerous BSA activities over the years, including serving as a speaker at BSA Career Days, acting as a BSA mentor, presenting at Build Boston on several occasions, and most recently, working with the BSA Women’s Principal Group, which ultimately resulted in her playing a key role as a steering committee member for the very successful National AIA Women’s Leadership Summits in 2011 and 2009.

With 20 years of experience as an architect, project executive, and project director, Taylor has familiarity with all project phases from programming to construction administration. She has particular expertise in the planning and programming of academic teaching facilities. A 14-year veteran of EYP’s Boston office, Taylor’s extensive portfolio most recently focuses on undergraduate science and research laboratories, libraries, and classrooms. She has also worked extensively in campus master planning.
