Four big banks that failed a key measure of the Federal Reserve’s stress test will have until Jan. 5, 2015, to resubmit their capital plans.
Originally, Citigroup Inc., HSBC North America Holdings Inc., RBS Citizens Inc. and Santander Holdings USA Inc. were to resubmit their capital plans today after the Fed objected to their capital plans during this year’s Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review.
Those companies will not be able to increase their capital distributions until a new capital plan is approved.
