FedEx has leased 10,000 square feet of Class A flex/production space at Bunker Hill Business Center in Charlestown.

FedEx Office will occupy the facility in the fall. It is relocating its central processing center from Boston’s Kendall Square. The center services commercial accounts and FedEx Office retail locations.

Grubb & Ellis’ Paul Delaney, senior associate of the office group, facilitated the transaction on behalf of the landlord. John Cremmen of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the tenant.

"This is a great win for the building, as it is about to undergo a major repositioning," said Delaney. "The property’s location, prominent visibility and adaptability make it an excellent option for flex/office users in Boston’s inner-suburban submarket."

Bunker Hill Business Center is a 54,000-square-foot Class A flex/office and production facility situated between Bunker Hill Community College and The Hood Business Park.

The FedEx Office lease will kick off a repositioning of the building from a warehouse to a Class A flex building with new 10′ x 10′ aluminum and glass windows, expanded parking layout with new paving, entrance and landscaping.
