Martin Fenton has been named vice president, commercial lending at Cambridge Bancorp and its subsidiary Cambridge Trust Co.

"We are very pleased that Marty has joined Cambridge Trust Company. He brings with him great experience and a commitment to achieving excellence for his clients. He will be a tremendous asset in Cambridge Trust’s expansion to the South Shore market," Marty Millane, senior vice president, chief lending officer, said in a statement.

Fenton has more than 30 years of financial and commercial real estate experience, most recently on the South Shore. Before joining Cambridge Trust Co., he was vice president of commercial real estate for South Shore Bank. Fenton began his career in commercial real estate with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. in 1984.

Fenton earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and his MBA from the Boston University Graduated School of Management.
