Ferro-Ceramic Inc., a company which grinds and mills advanced ceramics, has purchased a 49,000-square-foot flex/industrial property in Wilmington.

The building at 5 Cornell Place was sold by Campanelli Co. for $2.9 million.

Jim Thomson and Dan Collins of NAI Hunneman represented Campanelli. Ferro-Ceramic was represented by Rob Cronin of Lincoln Property Co.

Ferro will relocate and expand its manufacturing operation from Wakefield, according to a statement.

LPC assisted Ferro-Ceramic with a space needs anaylsis, an extensive site search and pricing negotiation.
