First Citizens’ Appoints VP, CFO

First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union of New Bedford recently appointed George Custodio as vice president, chief financial officer.

Custodio will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions for the credit union.

"We are pleased to have someone of George’s caliber joining us at First Citizens," said Peter Muise, chief executive officer.

Custodio brings 25 years of banking experience to First Citizens.’ He was previously at Mt. Washington Bank of South Boston. As the bank’s CFO and treasurer, he managed the investment portfolio and was responsible for all reporting, budgeting, auditing and risk management, and strategic planning processes.
