Boston-based First Trade Union Bank has been named the Massachusetts lender of the quarter from the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA).
The award was presented to First Trade Union Bank in recognition of its SBA activity for the second quarter.
As of March 3, First Trade Union Bank had 11 approvals, up from 3 approvals at Dec. 31, 2009. This activity for the first six months doubles their entire SBA loan approval total of five for fiscal year 2009, according to a statement.
"We’re very excited to receive this award," said Anina Butler, vice president of SBA Lending. "It represents the commitment First Trade has shown in serving the small business community. We will continue to work with those in need of SBA financing to help make their financial dreams a reality."
