Fitchburg-based Rollstone Bank & Trust has raised $2,500 to benefit local hospice, Diversified Home Service.
The bank offered its employees the opportunity to “dress down” for hospice, by donating $5 and receiving a special t-shirt they could wear to work. T-shirts and ribbons were also offered to the bank’s customers for donations of any amount.
“The program strives to enhance the quality of life for an individual with an illness with which a cure is considered unlikely,” said Heidi Getek, development officer of Diversified Home Services. “The goal of the Hospice team is to provide comfort and care at home, allowing the patient to feel comfortable with the support of friends and family.”
