Sean B. Beausoleil has joined the Boston office of Canadian commercial real estate brokerage Avison Young as a principal and director of project management for the New England region.

Beausoleil, most recently a managing director at CBRE/New England, will focus his efforts on growing the Avison Young’s project management business and further expanding the company’s brand in the region, according to a statement.

Beausoleil served for 13 years at CBRE/New England, and established the firm’s development and project management group and directed a team of 12 professionals, supporting five CBRE offices and three remote client sites. He also built a service platform that generated annual revenues in excess of $1.5 million and coordinated and led New England project management support of other CBRE business lines and regions.

"We are thrilled that Sean has joined Avison Young. He is a market leader in his profession and will bring significant experience and strength to another one of our service offerings," said John Fenton, principal and managing director of Avison Young’s Boston office. "The addition of Sean will help create more momentum in establishing Avison Young’s multi-service presence in New England and enhance our ability to serve our clients. He joins a growing cadre of top professionals who are excited to be working together, and his skill set will complement our brokerage activities in tenant representation and in landlord agency work."

Beausoleil will partner with Fenton and Boston leasing veterans Jack Kerrigan, Kevin Malloy and Steve Cook, who also recently joined Avison Young as principals.

Headquartered in Toronto, Avison Young is Canada’s largest independently-owned commercial real estate services company. The firm operates 26 offices in Canada and the U.S.
