logo_metrocuMary Helming has been named vice president, commercial relationship manager at Chelsea-based Metro Credit Union, tasked with developing new commercial client relationships and overseeing the existing commercial portfolio.

Prior to joining Metro, Helming was vice president, commercial lending, at Danversbank, responsible for commercial real estate loans, construction loans and business loan originations and portfolio management, according to a statement. She also spent eight years as vice president, corporate banking division, at Warren Five Cents Savings Bank in Peabody.

Helming lives in Hamilton with her husband and two daughters. She is a member of the board of directors and chairman of discretionary grant committee for North Shore United Way and a member of The Hamilton Foundation.
