The former rectory of The Sacred Heart Church in Lowell has sold for $1.2 million.

This building at 159 Moore St. is being converted into an eight-unit apartment building by the owner and developer, Piscatelli Development of North Reading.

Two buildings remain on the site, the former church and the convent. These buildings are approved for an additional 28 units.

Kenneth Leva of DCU Realty in Lowell represented the seller as well as the buyer for the property.
