Former Boston Red Sox MVP Mike Lowell has sold his condominium at Boston’s The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton for $1.75 million.
The property at 2 Avery St. Unit 34A/B was purchased by Boston Taz LLC, according to the Suffolk Registry of Deeds website.
The 1,880-square-foot condo overlooking the Boston Common has three bedrooms and two parking spaces. It was originally listed at $1.9 million and had been on the market for 461 days, according to a statement.
Kathleen E. Cook, of Atlantic Assoc. Real Estate at 115 Atlantic Ave. in Boston, represented the buyer.
Ford M. Fraker, former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, owned the property prior to Lowell. Fraker occupied the residence from 2001 to 2008, according to The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
Lowell retired from the Sox last year and is teaching baseball in Florida, according to media report.
