The principals who have led the financial advisory services of ZweigWhite – an engineering, architecture and environmental consultant – has formed a new company called Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners.

The new firm has more than 50 years of experience providing business planning, ownership transition, merger and acquisition consulting services to the engineering, architectural and environmental consulting firms, according to a statement.

"We’ve spent our careers providing clients in the A/E industry with personal, high-level, one-on-one interaction, and each of us has complementary backgrounds, technical training and professional credentials," said Ian Rusk, managing principal of Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners. "Now we can expand on that work while building an unparalleled level of management and industry expertise within a single firm."

The principals of Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners are former ZweigWhite President Ian Rusk, former ZweigWhite Director of Valuation and Ownership Planning Services Michael O’Brien, former ZweigWhite Director of Merger & Acquisition Services Steve Gido and former ZweigWhite Director of Corporate Development Russ Ryan.

Together they have worked with more than 500 companies and been responsible for some of the largest merger and acquisition transactions in the industry over the past 20 years, according to a statement. Their work has also included conducting ESOP appraisals, rendering fairness and solvency opinions and providing litigation support services.

"We see a growing need in the industry for the services we provide. As industry leadership shifts from the baby boomers to a smaller age demographic, companies will depend on creative succession strategies and business planning to ensure their long-term viability," said O’Brien.
