Fort Point Offices Slated For Residential Conversion

Boston Redevelopment Authority officials approved plans to convert a 48,500-square-foot office building at 319 A St. in the Fort Point section into 48 residential units.

Boston Residential Group LLC plans to build a combination of studio, one- and two-bedroom units and 5,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The $30 million project, designed by ADD Inc., calls for preservation of the historic character of the existing structure built in 1914. Lee Kennedy Co. will serve as the general contractor.
